Electric Salamander: Improve Your Cooking

What Is Electric Salamander?

The electric salamander is a high-temperature oven that’s used for cooking and baking in restaurants, hotels, schools and other food service operations. But do you know why is it called a Salamander?

The name “salamander” comes from the fact that these units are shaped like a lizard, with four legs. The word “salamander” comes from the Greek meaning “to walk slowly,”. And that’s which was supposedly how these lizards moved across hot surfaces without being burned by the fire.

The machine has a heating element at one end, which is plugged into an electrical outlet. The other end has a handle for turning or moving the unit around your stovetop. The rolling pins are heated by contact with the hot surface of your stovetop and are kept in constant contact with the food by the rubber rollers. As the temperature increases, so does its ability to cook your meal faster than traditional methods.

How To Choose a Better Electric Salamander:

Material:

The most common material of electric salamanders is stainless steel and aluminium alloy. Stainless steel is more durable than aluminium alloy, but it’s also heavier. Therefore, it’s more suitable for larger electric salamanders. MARCHEF’s products are made of stainless steel. It uses the Antirust SS201 structure to make the machine last longer. At the same time, its body is also made of stainless steel, which is convenient for cleaning.

Heating Tube And Heat Dissipation Hole:

The heating tube is one of the most important parts of an electric salamander. It is responsible for distributing heat evenly throughout the body and ensuring that all sides of your food get cooked thoroughly. The size and number of the heating tubes can vary from one model to another. Some models have more than one heating tube, while others only have one.

The Electric Salamander of MARCHEF uses U-shaped heating tubes. This allows the food to be heated more evenly. At the same time, Heat Dissipation Holes are also set inside the machine. These holes allow food to be heated efficiently while extending the life of the machine.

Temperature Range:

Different types of foods need different temperatures to cook thoroughly. For example, chicken needs higher temperatures than beef, while fish needs lower temperatures than chicken. Because it dries out easily when cooked at high temperatures. Make sure that the temperature range of your salamander covers all these different types of foods. So that you can cook them properly without having to use multiple appliances for each type of food. A good electric salamander will have a temperature range between 100°C-250°C. The temperature range of MARCHEF’s machines is 50-300°. This shows how powerful it is.

Movable Body:

Some models have fixed bodies while others have adjustable bodies. You should go for a model with an adjustable body so that it can be moved easily from one place to another without any hassle or problems. You can also adjust its height according to your needs and requirements. The MARCHEF has a removable top that allows the user to adjust the distance between the food and the heating element.

What Can You Do With An Electric Salamander:

There are actually many different ways in which you can use an electric salamander:

  • To toast slices of bread and pastries.
  • To melt cheese on pizza.
  • To sear meat or fish before putting them in the oven.
  • To cook steaks.
